Needs further testin: A rising CA125 requires further investigation to rule out a Gynecologic cancer especially Ovarian Cancer. The best test to start with is a recheck of CA125 (unless done in the last 2-3 weeks). An Ultrasound of the abdomen and Pelvis can assess the Ovarian areas for any tumor/cyst on the Ovaries. A CT scan of the abdomen/Pelvis is another alternative if the CA 125 reading is going up higher.
