My rbc count was 3.68, hct 32.4 and hgb 11.1, all well below ref range. how significant is this? one doc said "no big deal," i feel liek it is tho!

Need for evaluation: Lower than normal hemoglobin, as it is in your case, in a male, needs to be evaluated to rule blood loss in the intestine. If you are not satisfied with the answer from the doctor, you may wish to see a different doctor. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
