A member asked:

My wife and i have chosen not to have our children vaccinated. my son is attending a new school this year and we are required to get a note from a doctor confirming that we known the risks associated with not vaccinating. can you help with this?

No: This forum is too limited to provide a comprehensive discussion of risks of possible infection by diseases that could be prevented by immunization . As physicians, we have not only your child's health in mind, but also what is called herd immunity, which protects children who are at risk but are unable to get vaccinated due to allergy or other health condition.

Mgt: Many parents opt to have fewer vaccinations per any visit, if your concern is too many vaccinations on one day. Your physicians can provide the note, since they will review the indications with you.
