Is dangerous to use cytotec (misoprostol) to induce labor at 41 weeks?, my doc say is not dangerous but i would like a second opinion

Not Dangerous...: Cytotec is used frequently to soften the cervix in preparation for labor induction with Pitocin (oxytocin). When used correctly with monitoring in the hospital it is very safe and effective. It would not be safe to use at home where there is no monitoring etc. Most of the time it doesn't actually cause full blown labor but some women, especially if they have had other deliveries will go into labor.
