Can cytotec (misoprostol) be used to induce labour after a previous c/s?

Not safe: If you have had a prior c-section and wish to have a tolac (trial of labor after c-section), then you cannot use pitocin, (oxytocin) Cytotec or other agents to induce labor. They increase the risk of 'uterine rupture'. This should be discussed with your OB with consideration of the reasons for the prior c-section.
