Cups are safest: Silicone does not harbor bacteria so they are not a likely cause of 1st or more infections. Do follow cleaning directions and also make sure your hands are clean. Discuss prevention w/ OBGYN and definitely follow Tx advice to get rid of it now. You may never face it again - don't worry.
