Almost no pain.: Your doctor will slip a tiny needle around the edge of the mole and gently place anesthetic to numb the area. S/he will use a punch to cut cleanly around the mole, and then close the site with a few stitches which you won't feel. When the anesthetic wears off you will hardly feel anything because the wound has been closed. Follow your doctor's advice for wound care after the procedure. Good luck!

Not much: It will probably be removed under local anesthesia and it may be sore for a day or so after that. An over the counter pain medication should keep you comfortable. If you are concerned about the pain mention it to your doctor. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine.
