What causes a person to vomit during a bowel movement? i have experienced this quite a lot in the past year. it is accompanied by severe cramping.

Maybe part. obstruct: Don't know your med/surg history. Partial blockage of bowel from many causes, including kinking from adhesions (internal scars) due to prior surgery and/or inflammation; tumor of bowel, gyn organs, strictures or narrowing from inflammatory bowel disease, poor blood flow, radiation damage, other masses, etc. Repeated bouts not likely to be due to acute infection, e.g. Some viruses, etc. See md.
