Back PaIn/Constipati: Significant. Constipation can potentially cause back pain due to gas & spasm of the large intestine. High fiber diet, adequate liquid intake(6-8glasses of water) & possibly a fiber supplement such as Metamucil improve bowel movement function & decrease pain . Possibility of back injury should not be overlooked as an explanation.
