I have an occasional minor pain and/or 'click' in my left jaw where it hinges under my ear. i sometimes take aleve for this and it goes away. it's something that can be irritating when i'm eating. is this a strain or teeth alignment issue?treatment?

Sounds very much: like you have early TM (Tempro-mandibular) joint malfunction. You need to have a referral to a Dental Specialist or you own Dentist may be able to Diagnose and Treat! Hope this helps! Dr Z

Disc: You have a disc that is out of position in your jaw joint. Pain killers will not cure, only block pain transmission. Rx depends on cause. Yes, malocclusion may be a causative agent. Rx usually begins with a disarticulating splint. See your Dentist. You may also have to see Orthodontist and/or Oral Surgeon..
