A member asked:

I ve a tiny bump behind end of one ear,[not painful but a bit tender,[ since 6 --8weeks], can this be tumour? do i need an urgent scan now? thanks

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: It is likely to be an enlarged node due to some issue with your scalp. There is no urgent need for a scan. Watch the "bump": If it doubles in size, more bumps develop, the bump becomes painful, the bump ulcerates or bleeds, it would be time to see a doctor. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
