Try this: A cheap mutli-vitamin and mineral tablet daily, and whey powder like bodybuilders take. Plenty of water. A good book on nutrition may point out reasonably-priced options. Glad you want to eat healthy -- many people don't -- and i'm sorry that whoever's running our world (i haven't figured out who) has made it hard to eat a good & varied diet.

Use veggies: While fresh and organic vegetables are best, frozen vegetables are almost as good. There are also plenty of canned foods like beans that have good nutritional value. Meats are important, but our bodies only need a few ounces per day. Avoid starchy foods like breads and pastas. Even though they're cheap, more than a couple of small servings a day is bad for a person over time.
