Deltacortril: This is prednisolone, should be taken under doctor's supervision, the lowest effective dose and for the shortest duration as needed. It doesn't minimize infection, rather minimizes inflammation, it isn't the main treatment for bronchiectasis, your doctor has a logic in prescribing it though, talk to your doctor, best wishes
