Hard to tell: The first thing which popped into my mind would be a potential food allergy in a person with asthma (even though you stated that you don't have it) . However if you have reflux , the stomach content may irritate the vocal cord to cause a wheezing when breathing in. Best to get examined or even get a lung function test when this happens.
