A member asked:

Do we need a digestive enzyme for absorbing raw protien?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unclear question: What do you mean by raw protein? Milk has proteins in it which could be called raw and babies digest those fine without any additional digestive enzymes. I trust you are not thinking or eating raw meat. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
