I have had 2 injuries lately that have kept me off my feet. i have found a lump on top of the foot next to the main vein. pulsates to heartbeat. clot?

Arterial pressure.: It's not clear if the two recent injuries were to your foot, specifically the top of your foot. Veins generally don't pulsate, at least not like an artery. The answer is probably best answered by a hands on examination of the area.
