A member asked:

I have parathyroid&osteopenia,my dr said "there's no surgery now we currently just watch it" (ca:10mg/dl) how can i avoid myself from osteoporosis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Osteoporosis: The details you mention seem to be missing something. Calcium at 10 mg is OK. At age 38, there is no apparent reason to think you have osteoporosis. Surgery is not an issue - please have your doctor tell you all the information and explain if abnormal values (unlikely) suggest something is wrong.
