Ask your own doctor: There's no way for a distant forum doctor to know whether needle aspiration or open biopsy is preferred. The patient's own doctor knows best. Follow her or his advice, or ask for consultation by an expert (e.g. oncologist or maybe infectious diseases specialist) if that hasn't been done already.
