A 34-year-old male asked:
I'm doing research on the subject of celibacy, and would like to know if celibacy causes prostatitis in men like some studies have suggested? thanks

Very doubtful: It is unlikely that sexual abstinence or celibacy (they aren't the same) causes prostatitis. Several aspects of that theory make no sense at all. Also, defining prostatitis isn't easy -- for example, look up "chronic pelvic pain syndrome" and compare with prostatitis. And of course if you're going serious research on this, you need to use proper scientific resources, not just forums like this!
