Probably not: Most stiff necks are due to non-worrisome problems, such as your position while sleeping the night before, or inflammation due to a mild muscle strain. However, if your pain & stiff neck are accompanied by fever, headache, other aches & pains, weakness, rash, vomiting, or diarrhea, it's important to be evaluated by a doctor.
