My son has a small round gray speck on the pupil of his eye. he can feel it, almost like a grain of sand.

Needs evaluation: If it is as you say this could be an embedded piece of metal or other dust that needs to be removed or it could distort a larger area on the eye. HAve him see his doc and s/he can decide if an eye doc should be consulted. I have removed these occasionally with techniques I learned during training.
