It depends: If you experienced menopause, this could be a " hot flash" , which is happens due to decline in estrogen after stopping having periods. Hormonal replacement therapy could alleviate the symptoms, but talk to your doctor to have a good check-up before it, especially regarding risk factors fof heart disease and stroke. If you are pre-menopausal, your reaction could be " premature ovarian failure"

Change in ovarian hormones is the most likely explanation.

See her physician: There can be a number of reasons for hot flashes, which she should probably discuss with her doctor. If they are related to menopause, sometimes the herbal supplements for menopause can be helpful.

Yes: By definition, menopause not begin before age 35. While it is possible to undergo premature menopause (defined as absence of periods because of ovarian failure before age 35), it is extremely rare. If your fsh, lh, and serum Estradiol are normal, the hot flushes are not from menopause. If you are still having periods, it is very unlikely the hot flushes are from menopause.

Estrogen: The most effective relief is estrogen hormone. However, there are alternatives such as progestin hormone, clonidine, certain antidepressants, gabapentin, and some herbal remedies. Discuss with your doctor about what is most appropriate for you.

It depends: You seem to be too young to be experiencing hot flashes. You may be in premature ovarian failure or premature menopause. The exact cause of pof is unknown. Most think that it is an autoimmune problem, whereby somehow the body is shutting down the ovary. You need to see a specialist to be evaluated asap, especially if you are still considering having children.
