PPD?: In the U.S. we don't give vaccines against tuberculosis as a standard vaccination. That means a person asking about a "TB shot" might be asking about a PPD skin test, which is not a vaccination. Think of a PPD as a special type of allergy skin test that looks for one's immune system's memory of a past exposure to TB. Thus, a PPD should be ok during pregnancy. Can also do blood test instead of PPD.

TB shot: It should not be a problem but please contact your Obstetrician regarding a TB shot. If she/he says it's OK be pleased.
