A member asked:

Im pretty sure i have an inner ear infection, i have cipro (ciprofloxacin) drops that are 2 years old, will they still work?

Hard to say: Definitions matter to us, and an inner ear infection involves the ear nerve, is generally viral and has no treatment. A middle ear infection (the common type) does not respond to drops unless you have a hole or tube in your ear drum. Outer canal infections (swimmers ear) can sometimes respond to drops unless there is too much debris in the way.The date on the drug matters less than what you have.
