Consider herbal...: Classic anti-inflammatories like aspirin and ibuprofen can paradoxically cause irritation and GI bleeding so I don't recommend. Drugs with 5-ASA are widely used- see http://tinyurl.com/zvx6duh But I often recommend herbal anti-inflammatories including Boswellia (a frankincense extract), curcumin (a turmeric extract), ginger and Japanese Knotweed; these are safe and effective. Probiotics help too.
