Boil handled locally: If boil does not enlarge and is managed locally it should resolve. Most infections here are from skin appendages such as sebaceous cyst that is infected, a sweat gland infection or from hair follicle. Warm soaks, antibiotics if temp present should bring lesion down. If not incisional drainage may be needed.
