Irregular bleeding: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections & hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do a home pregnancy test . There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.

Not yet: No, it sounds like your period is just a little late and it is now starting. It can start with light spotting first. The only way to know for sure if you're pregnant is to take a test (urine test can be purchased at your local drug store). It's okay if there is some variation in your cycle length.
