Define "normal": The body temperature of a normal human (without disease or infection) varies between 36.5 deg C and 38 deg C. When exposed to viruses or other autoimmune processes, the temperature can be slightly higher. When exposed to bacterial infections, the temp can be higher than 38.5 deg C before suddenly plummeting to less than 36 deg C. Both high & low temps indicate infection, as does sweating & chills.
