I am on 30mg of remeron (mirtazapine). my dr is weaning me off it and increasing amityripiline to 75mg. this is due to weight gain.is he correct.

Trial and Error: Research finds all such meds can cause weight gain. This one for some can cause loss. It's very individual1 All you can do is try but consider adding therapy - it will optimize outcome safely and reduce need for Rx.
