Hot one minute, freezing cold the next. temp was 40'c at 4am. what could this be ?

Hot/cold temp 40: Temp of 40 is fever. If you have gastritis(with H pylori) /pancreatitis that could be a caus,as can kidney infection e but with a temp of 40 you need labs and blood cultures as well.,probably y CT of abdomen/pelvis. Follow up with ER.
