Simple suggestions: Force fluids x 8-10 glasses/day: 50% electrolyte rich fluids, 50% clear broth, bullion, consume .Warm water gargles, nasal saline mist, hot tea and honey, Hot steam showers, Cold-Eze Lozenges, Tylenol (acetaminophen) 1-2 TABLETS every 4-6 hours as needed for fever greater than 100. Symptoms: There is no specific cure for a cold and thus one can only treat the symptoms. If you have nasal congestion, a topical nasal decongestant may help but must not be used for more than 5 days else you end up with worse problems. Rest and chicken soup may help. I find inhaling warm steam for a few minutes 2x daily soothing. Don't go to work and infect your co-workers.
