Get seen!: If you have had these headaches for less than a week, go to an ER now. If you have had them for longer than that and they have not gotten worse, see a doctor this week. Headaches can be very serious as well as painful, and sometimes need prompt evaluation and treatment. If this is the worst headache of your life, it needs to be addressed right away. Do not drive if you have a bad headache.
