Call surgeon ASAP.: Your best bet is to call the surgeon who did the surgery. Depending on the procedure, the reaction may not be an infection. I could be a reaction to a chemical used in some nail surgery procedures. Your surgeon should know how to deal with the issue, no matter what the proximate cause may be.
