Sural nerve: Get checked. Could be local nerve entrapment or possibly back problem.

R S1 radiculopathy: This is a right s1 radiculopathy; a nerve root problem. Recommend physical therapy and pain meds. Acupuncture may help but it's not covered by insurance.

I have intermittent (3-10 times day) sharp pain originating in the lower (back side) calf and shooting down through arch of foot to the smaller two toes. Feels like an electric wire or burning sensation. only lasts 10-20 seconds.
