Give it time: It is best to complete the course of antibiotics. Middle ear infections often cause accumulation of liquids in the middle ear which may cause some discomfort and hearing loss. Typically complete resolution of symptoms is expected by the third week of therapy. If symptoms worsen while on therapy or you have fever a repeat examination will be needed. Take care.
