In a word, no...: "Some women", as well intentioned as I'm sure they are, don't seem to understand how the IUD works. The paragard is a copper IUD that creates an inflammatory reaction in the uterus that is toxic to sperm. They don't survive. I'm not sure what "shoot out right away" would even suggest, but it doesn't work in a way that you would notice anything.
