A member asked:

The lymph node behind my left ear has felt larger than the other side off and on for a couple months. doesn't hurt. is this something to worry about?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lymph node: This is likely a reactive lymph node fighting an infection of the middle ear or sinus. A short course of antibiotics is probably needed to resolve the chronic infection. If the lymph node does not shrink, an excisional biopsy by and ENT doctor likely is needed.
