A member asked:

I have been to the doctors, i have possibly have a ganglion on the base of my 4th toe on my left foot. what is the way to deal with it long/short term?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ganglion: A ganglion cyst usually occurs in a tendon sheath, and is full of a lubricating fluid. A podiatrist can drain the fluid with a needle and inject an anti-inflammatory medication. Please don't try to treat it by striking it, which is more of a folk remedy. Ibuprofen or alleve, and ice, aren't likely to help much.
