A member asked:

I have this really bad pain that started in the lower right part of my back and then moved around into the lower right part of my stomach and it's not?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Back pain: Sometimes back pain from a strained muscle can cause lower abdominal cramping too. If it's muscular, it will resolve in a few days with rest (no lifting) and some ibuprofen (600 mg every 6 hrs). Try a heating pad for 20 minutes at a time. Do some gentle stretches (lie on your back and pull knees to chest). If no weakness, change in bowels or bladder, you can wait it out. If numb or weak, go to Dr.
