A member asked:

I have pots, and lost my baby to placental abruption (which they think caused the pots) should i not try again? better to adopt? once pots gets better

A doctor has provided 1 answer

POT[t]S: Stands for postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome and is caused by abnormal activity of the autonomic (automatic) nervous system (ans). I think that the "abruptio" and the pots are from a common cause---- compromised body chemistrry, in the control mechanisms of the ANS and the normal function of pregnancy. My guess is that it is due to lousy diet that provides the energy for cellularfunction.
