Beware of unknowns: If a person eats fewer calories than she needs to live on, her body will burn stored fuel (which is her stored fat). It always works, but is hard to do because she will feel hungry. If she exercises, but eats more calories than she uses during exercising, she will still gain weight. No supplements are needed, and their full effects, side effects, and interactions are not well-researched or known.
