Allergy shots: Usually there is a build-up phase till maintenance dose is reached, then shots are spaced out to once every 4-6 weeks for the rest of the planned treatment period of 3-5 years,guided by several issues as response to therapy,alleviation of symptoms,need for other medications,quality of life, etc.., if no improvement after one year on maintenance,usually shots are discontinued, confer with ur doctor
