Ct scan found mesenteric spiculated fibrous mass wrapped around gastric antrum & transverse colon. type of diagnostic test? type of surgeon? thanks

Dr. Peter Ihle answered

Specializes in Orthopedic Surgery

An MRI is next 2 try: 2 diagnose the growth. Next most likely would be a biopsy. If a needle biopsy is opted for it is done by a radiologist who has special training in interventional radiology. Another way is to have it done laparoscopically, the mass does not sound like it is excisable. Surgeon if needed is a general surgeon.
