Hard to say, but...: The sperms from IUI have a shorter distance to reach a timely waiting eggs inside Fallopian tube than those naturally inseminated through intercourse. If every things fall correctly, within one day fertilization takes place. IUI is much less recommended for women of >40. More? Just ask the treating doc.
