Lupron (leuprolide): An lh-rh analog, leuprolide is used in treatment of hormone-responsive cancers such as prostate or breast cancer, estrogen-dependent conditions (such as endometriosis or uterine fibroids, to treat precocious puberty and to control ovarian stimulation in in vitro fertilization. Withdrawal has been reported to cause leg cramps, sleeplessness and anxiety. All can be treated symptomatically.
