Not habit forming: Aspirin is not addicting in the classical sense of the concept. It is not a narcotic. It is, however, possible that stopping the medication will allow for pain or inflamation the Aspirin was suppressing to resurface. Other non steroidal anti-inflamatory drugs (nsaid's) are as effective as Aspirin and may be taken less frequently, and with fewer side effects.
