Depends: on how long it has been present, if it is changing (enlarging or changing color) or if it appeared suddenly or after local irritation. It's not uncommon to have tiny purple spots due to bruising from breastfeeding or using a breast pump. If the spots are new and are not fading over the next wk, (and there is no explanation for the spots), then the best advice is to have your Dr evaluate it.
