What would happen if your right kidney got punctured and your left kidney remained untouched?

Kidney questions: If you are generally healthy, you should be able to get by with a single kidney. Some people are actually born with only one. Some people donate one to someone else who needs one. Most of us can get by with just one if we take care of it (don't smoke, eat healthy, exercise). Your doctor can check your kidney function after the injury heals to make sure everything is working OK.

Worrisome: Well, humans can live normally with only one kidney, however, a puncture in one kidney is extremely dangerous and is life-threatening because of internal bleeding and infection risk. That must be evaluated by a physician.
