Blood in urine: the urine protein is usually due to the red blood cells in the urine . You should have a urine culture sent to check for infection, even though the test does not show leukocytes. Also be evaluated for kidney stones and other causes of blood in the urine. An ultrasound or stone protocol CT scan may be needed as well as bloodwork to check kidney function.
