Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) is for ADHD: Review symptoms and function with prescriber as this determines dose and regimen. Some people require 3 doses a day at 4 hour intervals to control symptoms and improve function all day. For others two doses a day may suffice. Once daily Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) XR may control symptoms up to 12 hours. Target symptoms include attention span, impulse control, and frustration tolerance.
